What kind of a value system allows such an industry to continue? What kind of mentality keeps people supporting and defending such an industry? Why aren't we as outraged at the tobacco industry as we are about other environmental issues? Tobacco smoke is the greatest environmental hazard in the entire world! Smoking is the major risk factor in heart attacks. Heart attack is the major killer disease among Americans. The American Heart Association estimates that 25% of all fatal heart attacks are caused by smoking.
